The Dumbest Genera... I mean author

Im not going to lie...this section of a book that i read, really (mind my german) pissed me off. This guy is a sally. He expects young adults to follow things on the fine arts in free time. Come on bud, get a clue.
First let me ask this guy a question....How much do you remember from high school or college? Not much huh? College and High School overloads our minds with massive amounts of knowledge. If the human mind was capable of remember and processing all the information that we learned during the days of our lives...there would be no point in having a major. Because if everybody knew everything, then we wouldnt need majors, because everyone would know the same stuff. So technically we could do any job we wanted to do.

But in reality, our brains are not that smart. So that is why people have majors. So people can concentrate on one subject so that they enough on that topic to master it. Also our brains only like to remember things we enjoy too.
See the problem is that Skidrow here thinks that reading books and studying fine arts will make us all smart. So in a way he is claiming that he smarter than any young person out there. What an egotistical jerk. He bud, you enjoy reading books and studying the fine arts. I dont like fine arts or reading...because to me both are too time consuming and boring. So since he is a know-it-all, without using google (seeing that only we dumb teenagers use it anyway) i want you to tell me who Kevin Seitzer is, what he did, where did he do it??? Yeah good luck looking him up in the history book pal.

Alright ill tell you. Kevin Seitzer is a baseball player, who started out playing for the Kansas City Royals in 1986 and than he enventaully had a long career in Milwaukee before ending his career with the Cleavland Indians. He wasn't a power hitter, but he still was a good hitter. He played many positions, 1B, 3B, SS, and OF. He was one of my favorite players growning up as a kid. But since my brain isnt capable of remember every little thing about him i looked him up on wikipedia a couple months ago.

Now tell me about a book you read 5 years ago. Tell me correctly how exactly the plot went. I guarantee that you wont remember (unless one of your hobbies is to memerize books word for word)....

Ok i admit that our spelling sucks ever since instant messaging...but its for a reason. Because we wanted to get straight to the point. In todays society we dont have time to waste 5 mins making a writing picutre perfect. There is so much in the world that we just shorten things up and keep it simple. We save time and money :)

You know the saying that you cant teach an old dog knew tricks, well i guess that fits right up your alley Mark dude. All the things we use today is an advantage over past generations. Oh and by the way...some people's hobby include using the interenet. (COUGH! me). I like to design websites and it is never a waste of my time. All the stuff we have today (facebook, itunes, video games, tv) is really enjoyable, so much that some people become over addicted. And those are the people that you study, not normal people. Im sorry but reading random stuff i will forget in the years to come doesnt appeal to me. Id rather keep in touch with others who care about me on facebook. So go on Mark, you ignorant jerk, reply to my post. Because your put downs about society is an embarrassment. So instead of putting our society down, you take the high road and help guide this generation of kids you call dumb.

My teacher wants to see a movie with me.........

Ever since I can remember, I have had teachers. Some for the better....some for the worse. But in any case I can say that no matter who the teacher, that if the opportunity presents itself, try to bond with that teacher. The stereotype people have today is that if an older human is friends with another human that is well younger than themselves, that it makes them "strange". Because of all the wrong doings that occur in the world today, we assume this.
For example take this scenario. Lets say we have a 11 year old girl who often likes to visit the single elder man who lives down the street. This single elder man is very kind and is welcoming to everyone, including the parents of the young girl that often visits him. What would you think? I can assure you that the parents would not think too keen of there little girl often being alone with a lonely old man, even though like I mentioned earlier that he is a really nice guy. Its not anyones fault, but society for this. That is why it is hard for anyone (including teachers) to bond with the younger crowd. I will admit that it would not be normal if that teacher wanted to spend quality time with a student and that there are many sick minded people out there. But that is what teachers would be labled as if they were to be friends with students. But it is not for me to judge how complex student-teacher bonds should be. Because every teacher, student, and society has there own standards.

But there is something I do know. For the good teachers out there keep trying to be the best you can be. Whether its just teaching or trying to bond with your students to make a great learning experience...keep it up.

But for the students, parents, and the rest of society with these disturbing stereotypes...pardon my french but, what in the hell is your problem. The world is has a lot of good people in it. More good than bad. Of course there are weird people out there, and sometimes you cant control somethings that happen. But there is a point when a child reaches a certain age that they should KNOW the difference between right and wrong. Then the parents, as well as the children, should know who too trust. If you allow your kid to meet up with pedaphiles on the interen, you're a horrible parent. If your child is so young that they are defensless and you leave them alone with strangers, you're a horrible parent. All of society takes the easy way out, labeling every person that they dont know as a pervert and a lunatic. I guarantee if people from all over the country read my post their response would be about how they can identify freaks and that they have lists of people they know not to trust. I response would be somethinh like this...."If you can identify the weird people, tell me if you can identify the good people..."

Dont get me wrong...there are good parents, students, and societies out there who have the right mindset. But there are people out there who dont have the right mindset and abuse there power. The article I read proves that students and parents abuse there power. There are teachers who have articles in the paper written about them, and when you read them you think..."all they did was try to be friends.... I dont get what the problem is." These anger me. But the articles about sick people who actually do sick things...please write as much as you can.

Bottom line, after reading me rambling on...if you were to take one thing away from this, let it be this. There are bad people out there...But there are more good than bad. It is up to you to decide who is good and who is bad. But it is your fault if something bad happened to you because you trusted the wrong person. But if a student is old enough to ride a bike with out training wheels, they should be able to judge right from wrong. So dont label every older person as someone you cant trust. Because not only are you hurting those teachers, you are hurting yourself......

Facebook

Dont get me wrong..I love Facebook for a couple reasons. For me it is a really good way to stay in touch with people from high school or people that moved far away. I mean its to stay in touch with people you were friends with, but not super close. But other than that its good for communication.

Like my old manager at Target. I didnt know anything about her. She was only my manager, and i didnt know anything. But because of facebook i later found out her sister is roomates with my cousin!!! so it also is a way to find out if you are indirectly connected to them some how.

But there is one thing about Facebook i hate...I hate all the random super poke, poke, drink, bumper sticker, and etc.!!! I mean the only thing i use on facebook is my personal info, pictures a little, and writing on peoples wall to have informall conversations. For me it takes up space and its really annoying.

I think that facebook is for communicating...and all that random poke, and whatever.

Knock Knock…..Who’s there?...humor

When it comes to writing a successful and interesting blog, I don’t know jack. But when I thought about what I am going to write about in my blog, the first thing that came to mind is humor. I am the kind of guy who likes to include humor in everyday. Whether it is taking pictures of my professors heads and put them on dogs….or saying one liners that will make a persons’ day. I Think every person should find some type of humor or something to laugh at each day. Maybe it’s finding a funny movie you watch often. Or maybe it is just teasing your cat with a laser pointer.

A lot of people tell the same jokes or have the same sense of humor. Not everyone laughs at the same stuff. For me I find slapstick and dumb/goofy humor to be funny. For example, I love watching SpongeBob SquarePants. It is a mix of adult humor and childish goofy humor. When it comes to movies, I like the old school stuff like Caddyshack, The Naked Gun, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. It is all good stuff to me. But I also don’t like any of the current comedy films, such as Knocked Up, Superbad, 40 year old virgin, and etc. Those movies try to find humor in sex, drinking, and people getting mad at one another. I find that not to be humorous.

But that is stuff that I find funny / non-funny. But it is different when I tell jokes. I try to make every person I meet laugh, and if I don’t make them chuckle at something I have said, then I have failed. People sometimes tell me I should be a comedian…but to me I couldn’t do that. Comedians have their own ways of being funny. Carlos Mencia makes racial jokes, Dane Cook tells jokes about experience and everyday life. Then you have people like Jeff Dunham who is a ventriloquist and uses humor that way.

I don’t work that way. There was a time in the sixth grade that we were talking about weird wise sayings. For example as people say “wise as an owl”, or swift like a fox or whatever. So I was trying to make up my one and I thought up goats. As an ADHD sufferer sometimes I say before I think what I am saying. So I thought goats have horns and I said to the class “As horny as a goat.” The whole class died laughing, and the teacher just couldn’t stop crying because it was so funny. I didn’t mean it in the sexual way, I just thought that since that they have horns that it makes them “horn-y”. The funny part is that goats get a bad rap that they are horny, because of a product sold in stores like GNC called “Horny Goat Weed.”

Ever since that day I just enjoyed the wonders of making people laugh. So over the next years I spent observing and testing with trial and error to learn to be funny. Along the way I found out that, like I mentioned earlier, every person has their own since of humor. So what I do to this day is see who that person is and tailor my jokes to there since of humor. That is why I think I couldn’t be a comedian…because I don’t know what the audience would laugh at because I don’t know what kind of jokes to tell them.

To me humor adds life to your years and years to your life. I try to laugh and tell jokes every day. Because life isn’t worth living if you don’t know how to laugh!
